What this captures so well is the intoxication of being “chosen” and how quickly it turns into permission to dehumanize. The poison isn’t belonging. It’s hierarchy dressed up as divine intent.

The imposed systems of hierarchy are everywhere from companies to government to religion and the hierarchical way of life is very much a reptilian trait forced upon us. It is a major divide and rule play and imposed by perceptual control of the masses from early childhood on. Instead of teaching children that they are divine spirits having an experience and there are no limits to what they can do, where they can go and the same applies to all others, they teach them to see the other as an opponent, an inferior that must be banished, bullied, and other nasty things. Besides divide and rule it also teaches them to obey perceived authority which most will do for the rest of their lives. The perception of the divine self must be given by awake parents and not left up to the indoctrination centers called schools. In this way they are taught they are special but so is everybody else.

Oh if we all elevated our thoughts about the people in our lives to be special and worthy of respect and kindness, what a wonderful world it would be. Excellent Cate.
